A research platform for how students learn

Hard ideas,
untangled.

Weave turns the course material your teacher adds into a path you can follow: a guide that builds the whole topic, levels you take one at a time, and marked feedback on every answer. Checked at every step.

A tangle of paper ribbons printed with dense text unwinds into an ordered staircase of blue and white paper steps.

Illustrative example · course material in, a path of levels out

Most course material is written to be complete, not to be understood.

Introducing Weave. Nothing left out. Everything made clear.

Try it

The same idea.
A completely different way in.

The same facts, explained the way a good tutor would. Pick a subject, compare the two versions, then commit to a prediction.

Opportunity cost

Opportunity cost represents the value of the next-best alternative forgone when a decision is made to allocate scarce resources to a particular use. It includes implicit costs and is distinct from the sum of all possible alternatives or the monetary expenditure alone.

All the information.
No obvious way in.

As Weave explains it

Every choice means giving something up. The opportunity cost is the best alternative you didn't choose.

You have one free evening. You could go to a concert or take a paid shift. If the shift is your next-best option, choosing the concert means giving up that pay.

Make a predictionYou pick the concert. What did it cost you?

Commit to an answer first. That moment of guessing is part of how it sticks.

Real guides are written from your teacher's own material.
